Welcome to the new X-Wrt forums. You will have to make a new user account as we are unable to transfer the old information to the new forums.

Hi
can we have a pinned topic where we can add suggestions and observations from our experiences with x-wrt ?

I have tried out luCI , x-wrt and gargoyle in the last couple of weeks and have now come back to x-wrt - ( I use tomato on several other 54Gls )

looking to configure the wifi in client mode I had a look at the manual and it is very sparse
http://wiki.x-wrt.org/index.php/User_Manual#WAN_and_LAN_settings  - this section in particular.

I will persevere and make sense of it but I feel it needs to be expanded so people will have something to refer to when setting up openwrt via x-wrt. The descriptions on the GUI itself are not very clear either and could probably do with some re-writing by some one knowledgeable .

I was thinking maybe either in the manual or on the GUI there could be a list of the config files that are modified by each GUI change which would give people a reference to search for information on what they are trying to achieve and also maybe initiate discussion of different and maybe better ways to configure openwrt to do what the GUI change is going to do.
