Hello together,

i am just reading through several posts but didn't find a good answer for me:

i have a wrt54gc linksys v2.0 router and now my question is, which is the best modified firmware for this? kamikaze or whiterussian?

and which package should i take for installing with included webif (don't like shell commands very much)? also on my wishlist is something like openvpn integrated Cheesy

thanks for help! Smiley

The latest version of kamikaze is what I would recommend but I don't know what the wrt54gc is and how it differs from say the wrt54gl. So I don't know what the current status is for that device.

thy for your reply Smiley

openwrt says to the wrt54gc:

Platform & Frequency: Broadcom 4712 @ 200MHz
Flash: 4MB
RAM: 16MB
Wireless NIC: Broadcom (integrated)
Switch: ADM6996L
boot_wait: off
Serial: Yes
JTAG: Yes
USB: No
Status: Supported

wrt54gc is the same as the wrt54g but with an extended c for compact, dont know why Cheesy

so i think this version is the right one, isnt it:

http://downloads.x-wrt.org/xwrt/kamikaze/8.09.2/brcm47xx/openvpn/openwrt-wrt54g-squashfs.bin

as i interpret it, it has the webif, openvpn and wireless?

if you want to user brcm47xx use trunk, otherwise use the 2.4 kernel
